Medspa Website Redesign

I'm in the process of redesigning a client's website.  It has been a few years since I designed their last website and this will be the 3rd time their site will be designed.  It is important to give your site a face lift every few years.  Trends come and go, therefore it is no surprise that the design trends from a few years ago are stale.

I will be putting up the designs as I'm sending them to the client to capture some of the process that goes into a redesign.

One of the most important things to my client is to preserve their SEO ranking.  That means preserving the exisiting content as well as some of the linking and information structure.  Page titles can't change.  Content needs to be reasonably the same.  Main navigation shouldn't be renamed either.

Another important decision was to use their new logo.  The client recently acquired another business in the area and as a result the logo and name of the company merged to reflect that change.

Design Aspects

The new logo was the main inspiration for the new redesign.  The script for the logo is now a Geometric Sans-Serif type face which is very different from the past Lucida Script type face. This change helped me decide on using sans-serif type for the body of the site.  Additionally the logo features a much more desaturated color palette than the original logo.  This opened our palette choices.
